The gym has a large weightroom, several platforms, a barbell rack, kettlebells and bumpers. There is a small, but effective crossfitbox as well.
We have two USAW coaches, and a handful of athletes. Athletes range in age from youth through masters.
They are primarily a powerlifting club but have some other lifts too (squat, bench press, deadlift). We have access to Rogue bars, Pendlay bearing plates, and bumpers.
This gym is a small, but friendly, club with good etiquette. They do have a lot of college students who lift there, so it is very warm and laid back. They have a few different programs for their lifters and are very supportive of their training.
The main focus is on powerlifting but a few people do CrossFit too.
All the equipment is brand new, including a large olympic barbell and a few other barbells and weight plates. They have an open gym from 4am to 8:45pm and usually do a couple group classes as well.
James is a Physical Therapist, but he has a passion for barbell training and wants to share it with everyone. He has built, owned and operated his own Barbell Club for almost 5 years now!
His background in Physical Therapy gave him the tools he needed to help patients reach their goals with a safe and progressive approach. He has a strong desire to provide an entry point between performance and rehabilitation in the way that makes the most sense for each individual, giving them the results they deserve.
