When Nissan first introduced the GT-R in 2007, it was a game changer. The twin-turbo V6 and AWD setup were revolutionary, even then. The car smashed the performance barriers set by the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche.

While many Japanese automakers have been slow to catch up with the competition in terms of offering powerful high-performance sports cars, Nissan is on the right track. Its GT-R is part of a long line of Skyline-based models that have racked up dozens of top-level racing wins, and it remains one of the most thrilling high-performance cars on the market today.
It’s a fast car, but it also offers comfort. That’s something the rival McLaren 570 and Porsche 911 Turbo S don’t offer, although it should be noted that the 2024 Nissan GTR Price is not the most comfortable car on the market.
The interior is a bit too bland for my liking, but the materials are good enough. There’s a stitched leather dashboard and it has a simple but well-equipped infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. The 11-speaker Bose audio system, navigation and Apple CarPlay are also available.
Nissan’s GTR hasn’t changed much since its debut, but it is still one of the most exhilarating cars on the road. It’s still a serious competitor to the best of its exotic rivals, and it’s a lot more affordable than they are.
Insurance for a Nissan GT-R is expensive, but it can be slashed significantly by choosing the right provider and shopping around for discounts. As a rule, the older your car is, the more you can save.
There are several providers that offer low rates for Nissan GT-R owners, including USAA, State Farm and Bankrate. These are based on the average cost of coverage for similar vehicles and can change depending on the model year.

It’s also more expensive to maintain than other GT-Rs, especially in the NISMO trim. The limited warranty is shorter than most rivals’ four-year or 50,000-mile offerings, and Nissan doesn’t offer complimentary scheduled maintenance.
